The proposed project consists of improvements to CR 1300/Union Church Road in Hall County. The project begins just south of SR 53 at MP 0.0 and extends to just north of SR211 at MP 5.25 for a net length of 5.25 miles. The existing typical section along CR 1300 consists of two 11-12-foot travel lanes with 2-foot graded shoulders. The existing right-of-way (ROW) varies between 60 and 80 feet. The proposed project will add high surface friction course to five sites along the roadway, for a total length of 1.57 miles. In addition, within site #2, the triple box culvert at Deaton Creek will be extended approximately 33-35 feet, the shoulder will be extended and guardrail will be added. In this area only, additional ROW will be needed ranging between 20-30 feet; in all other areas of the project, the existing ROW will remain between 60 and 80 feet.
