Abstract

The proposed project consists of an intersection improvement at SR 11, SR 124, and CR 14 6 southwest of Jefferson in Jackson County. The proposed intersection improvement would widen SR 11 to two 3. 6 m (12 ft.) travel lanes and add one 3.6 m (12 ft.) wide turn lane, also a 2.4 m (8 ft.) shoulder would be constructed. The proposed intersection improvements on SR 123 and CR 146 would consist of two 3.6 m (12 ft.) travel lanes and a 2.4 m (8 ft.) shoulder. The existing right-of-way on SR 11, SR 124 and CR 146 is approximately 18 m to 30 m (60 to 100 ft), with minor additional required right-of-way being approximately .26 ha (.65 ac). An archaeological survey consistent with the proposed project's rights-of-way was conducted for the entire .78 km (.49 mi.) project corridor.
