Abstract

Southern Research, Historic Preservation Consultants, Inc. conducted a Phase One Cultural Resources Survey for approximately two miles of proposed new water line in Warren County, Georgia. The use of U.S. Department of Agriculture funds requires compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. The Area of Potential Effect (APE) is considered to be the narrow construction easement (20 feet wide) within the eastern right of way of Georgia Highway 8o near Camak. The APE runs from the intersections of Chessling Road on the southwest to Messena on the northeast. Figure 1 shows the location of the APE.
