Abstract

In 2001, 2003, and 2006, R. S. Webb and Associates (.RSWA) conducted a literature review of Phases 1, 2, and 3 of the Big Cotton Indian Creek sewer line interceptor in Henry County, Georgia. Research results indicated that one. previously recorded site, 9HY313, abuts the original alignment of the corridor and two sites, 9HY3 and: 9HY328 were mapped immediately across the creek from the corridor. Sections of the Phase 2 corridor were realigned in 2006. The new alignment avoided Site 9HY313, but intersected with the mapped location of Site 9HY3. This 1000-foot section of the corridor was intensively surveyed to locate the site. No archaeological resources were recovered or observed.
