The proposed project would widen SR 282 in Ellijay from the Coosawattee River to CR 193 between the Cartecay River and SR 5. A portion of the widening will be shifted away from the Cartecay River due to its close proximity the the existing road. The existing right-of-way is 100 feet; the proposed right-of-way is 120 feet. Total project length is 1.2 miles. An archaeological survey consistent with the proposed project corridor was conducted for the entire length of the project.
