This report constitutes a summary of work conducted during the first year of MARTA Archaeological Contract TZ60Q-M93-03. It describes surveys, sites, and extraordinary mitigation for the North, South, East, and West Lines during the period February 15, 1977-March 1, 1978. It is noteworthy that in this phase of the MARTA Project, an historical search, a project aimed at analysis and interpretation of a portion of the archaeological remains, and plans for historical-archaeological station exhibits were undertaken.
