The proposed project would widen S.R.72 between the intersection of S.R.72 and S.R.17 and the intersection of S.R.72/College Avenue and Oliver Street in Elberton. Existing right-of-way along S.R.72 varies from 60 feet to a maximum of 100 feet. The proposed minimum width of additional rights-of-way would be approximately 100 feet in 'the vicinity of the S.R.72/S.R.17 intersection and 90 feet along S.R.72/College Avenue. An archaeological survey consistent with the proposed rights-of-way was surveyed along the entire 1.5 mile length of the proposed project corridor.
