Abstract

Archaeological reconnaissance was completed for the approximately 26 acre Jackson hill project tract in October 1998. This study was completed for the City of Rome, Georgia to ascertain the presence of reported Civil War earthworks on the tract. A review was made of previous background research concerning the study area. The Jackson Hill tract was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.
