The proposed project begins approximately 0.5 mile north of the Cherokee County line in Pickens County and runs northbound through Gilmer and Fannin Counties to the Union County line on SR 515/US 76. The proposed project would reconstruct existing median crossovers. The existing median crossovers will be extended to meet speed design deceleration distances at various locations. Right turn lanes would also be constructed and/or extended to meet design deceleration distances at various locations.
