Abstract

The proposed project would consist of the construction of nine-foot wide concrete sidewalks with a two-foot brick paver, and 2.5-foot tree/utility strip along both sides of Sandy Springs Circle from Hammond Drive to the project terminus at SR 9/Roswell Road. Canopy street trees and light fixtures would also be provided. The existing curb, gutter and drainage would be maintained and updated as necessary. The sidewalks would be constructed in compliance with the standards of the Americans wi1h Disabilities Act. In addition, the existing 12-foot travel lanes would be resurfaced to accommodate four 11-foot lanes and 2-foot wide bike friendly pavement between the edge of the travel lanes and the existing curb and gutter. The total length of the project would be approximately 0.74 mile. Existing right-of-way (ROW) width varies from 70-85 feet. Required ROW width varies from 72-80 feet.
