Abstract

There are four previous surveys that intersect the current project areas. In July 2004, the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) conducted a reassessment survey for the widening and reconstruction of SR 151 in Catoosa County and the relocation of the SR 151 and CR 259 intersection (Erickson 2004a). No archaeological sites or isolated finds were identified during this survey. In September 2004, GDOT conducted a survey for nine signal and pedestrian upgrades throughout Cherokee, Dade, Floyd, Pickens, and Polk Counties (Erickson 2004b). No archaeological sites or isolated finds were identified during this survey. In 2007, GDOT conducted a reassessment survey for seven signal and pedestrian upgrades in Catoosa, Carroll, and Floyd Counties (Duff 2007). No archaeological sites or isolated finds were identified during this survey. In 2008, GDOT conducted a survey for the widening and reconstruction of SR 136/White Oak Gap Road from CR 52/Back Valley Road to SR 58/US 11/Main Street intersection in the city of Trenton, in Dade County (Johnson 2008). No archaeological sites or isolated finds were identified during this survey.
