Abstract

A Phase I cultural resources survey of seven stream corridor sections within the proposed Shady Dale mitigation bank in Jasper County, Georgia was conducted during October 2008 for Georgia Streambank, LLC. The study was performed to locate and identify cultural resources along stream corridors within the project area, and to assess resource significance based on National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) criteria [36 CFR Part 60.4]. Approximately 1,328 meters (4,356 feet) by 60 meters (200 feet) of stream corridors were surveyed. No archeological sites or historic resources were recorded during the survey. No additional cultural resources work is recommended for the proposed Shady Dale mitigation bank project.
