The proposed project for PI No. 122066 would replace the Cleveland Highway/SR 11 bridge over the East Fork Little River (Lake Lanier) in Hall County, Georgia. The project proposes to replace the bridge and add two travel lanes and eight-foot shoulders to the existing roadway. A previous archaeological survey was conducted under GDOT Project BRF00-002-06(50), PI No. 122066 by Terracon in 2008 (Koch and Norwood 2008). However, as the alignment has shifted slightly from the original footprint, a follow up archaeological survey was required. The current reevaluation includes 0.32 miles of additional right-of-way (ROW) survey, a 0.45-mile long section of new alignment, and small bum pouts of additional ROW.
