This project investigated two transects along the CR 183/Plantation Road Bridge over Coldwater Creek in Elbert County, north of Elberton. The Georgia Department of Transportation plans on replacing the current bridge. Transects were placed on both sides of the road along the 600-foot (183-meter) corridor, approximately 33 feet (10 meters) from the current right-of-way. An additional 100-foot (30-meter) extension on the north end of the corridor was added to the project length.
