This report constitutes the first monthly progress report under contractTZ600-M93-04, and includes the last two weeks of field work in the month of February. In addition to the continuation of unfinished Parcels from the previous contract period, several days were spent completing the final report of Contract TZ600-M93-03 and submitting it to the printer. Under the new contract, those areas described as “Phase B” construction along the North and South line corridors will be examined for archaeological resources. On the North Line, "Phase B" construction extends from the north side of Fifth Street to a point just north of Lombardy Street. On the South Line, “Phase B” construction will include the area south of CCU 115 to the West End Station. New property acquisition maps have been obtained from MARTA engineers and preliminary historical research is being conducted in order to determine potential archaeological features and sites prior to construction activities.
