Addendum Archaeological Survey for the Dallas Battlefield Trail, Phase II, Paulding County, Georgia

The project will be completely within the boundaries of the City of Dallas (Figure 1 ). The project will complete a 10 ft paved trail (8 ft in some locations) from the Chattahoochee Tech Spur of Silver Comet Trail to the City's Sara Babb Park. The trail will then continue from the Phase 1 battlefield trail DOT enhancement project on City-owned property and connect to the City of Dallas' Sara Babb Park. Portions of the multi-use trail on the City owned parcel may be 8 ft wide and contain pedestrian level/boardwalk sections in order to conform to the adjacent mountainous terrain. The project will be designed per the standards required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The southern segment of the project will begin at the Chattahoochee Tech Spur and continue approximately 800 ft along the existing shoulder of SR 61/Nathan Dean Blvd, then continue along Paulding Ln approximately 200ft before heading north within an existing easement on the Oasis Family Life Church property for approximately 900ft. The multi-use trail will then bridge over a Norfolk Southern railway line for approximately 200 ft before connecting to Main Stand the adjacent Elizabeth McKeon Memorial Park. The multi-use trail will then continue along the shoulder of Henry Holland Dr for approximately 600ft before re-connecting back to SR 61/Nathan Dean Blvd. The trail the will continue north approximately 730ft along the west shoulder of SR 61/Nathan Dean Blvd before continuing north along the west shoulder of SR 61/SR 6BU/Merchants Dr for approximately 1,300 ft. At this location the trail will cross SR 61/SR 6BU/Merchants Dr and continues 650ft along Orphans Brigade Rd, connecting to the City's existing Battlefield Trail (Phase 1) multi-use trail project. The northern segment will then continue from the Phase 1 trail project on City-owned property for approximately one (1) mile and connect to the City of Dallas' Sara Babb Pari<.
