Abstract

A cultural resource survey has been completed for 47 acres of the Toccoa Ridges and Lee Mountain Timber Sales that were not included in the original surveys of the Chattahoochee National Forest. This includes areas near Locust Stake, Davidson Branch, and Black Mountain in Habersham and Stephens Counties. Approximately 47 acres were added and surveyed for the completion of these timber sales. Five new sites were recorded in these units. The Toccoa Ridges and Locust Stake timber sales were completed in 2010 (Benson 2010), 2014 (Williamson et al. 2014), and 2014 (Sutherlin et al. 2014). The Lee Mountain survey was completed in 2012 (Bruce-Vaughters 2012) with a previous survey in 1992 (Walling et al. 1992).
