Abstract

Terracon conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of the proposed Metropolitan cell tower site on April 18, 2014. The archaeological survey area was equal to the area of the proposed tower site, its related utility easements, and the proposed access road (Figure 2). The site will be accessed using a new drive that begins west at Pickfair Way Southwest, heads in an easterly direction, and ceases at the proposed lease area. The site is located 5 km south of metropolitan Atlanta in an area of urban development. The nearest intersection occurs 120 m southeast at Fair Drive Southwest and Prior Road Southwest (Figure 1 ). Billy McCarley, an SOI qualified archaeologist, conducted the fieldwork in approximately two (2) hours. The staff members' qualifications are listed on resumes included in the Appendix.
