Abstract

The proposed project will replace the substandard bridge on State Route (SR) SO/Wrightsboro Road (Rd .) over Hart Creek 4.5 miles north of Camak, Georgia. The proposed project will build a temporary bridge and utilize an on-site detour incorporating temporary pavement to shift traffic as Bridge 301-001S-O is replaced. The project length is approximately .43 miles and begins approximately .39 miles north of the intersection of SR SO/Wrightsboro Rd., and CR 167/Ridge Rd. The existing bridge, which was built in 1957, was designed using an h-15 vehicle which does not meet current design standards and has been classified as having an unknown foundation. The proposed bridge replacement will be comprised of two 11-foot lanes and two 6-foot shoulders. The proposed project will terminate 500 feet before Mile Post 1SO.
