Abstract

The existing typical section along Three Notch Road in Catoosa County Georgia consists of two 11 ft. travel lanes, one in each direction, with 4ft. grassed shoulders on 30 feet of right-of-way. The existing bridge structure is a 96ft. x 23.9 ft. structure with a concrete deck and timber piles. The proposed typical se~tion would consist of two 11ft. lanes, one in each direction, with 8ft. (2ft. Paved and 6ft. grassed) shoulders on a variable right-of-way between 60 feet and 150 feet. The proposed bridge structure wo~ld be a concrete structure 140ft. x 38ft. The roadway would be closed during construction and traffic 1puld be detoured approximately 2.50 miles around the project area utilizing Popular Springs Road and Post Oak Road.
