Abstract

Environmental Corporation of America (ECA) has completed Section 106 Review Documentation, FCC Form 620, for our client, Georgia Power Company, concerning a proposed communications structure located off of West Stewart Mill Road, near Douglasville, Douglas County, Georgia. The APE for Direct Effects for this proposed communications facility includes a proposed 8-foot by 8-foot (2-meter by 2-meter) monopole site area with the center located at approximately N33° 42' 44.9" W84° 45' 16.4" (UTM: Zone 16 708079E 3732540N), would contain a 163-foot (overall height) monopole communications structure, and would be located within an existing gravel-covered substation. During our background database research, we found no previously recorded archaeological sites, but five survey reports (3490, 3491, 3980, 4315, & 7287), within a ¾-mile search radius of the proposed undertaking. None of the previously recorded survey reports were conducted within or near the APE for direct effects. All of the surveys were conducted for road improvement or pedestrian sidewalk or greenway projects. No archaeological sites were identified during any of the surveys.
