Project NHS-0000-00(429) would reconstruct SR 35/US 319 beginning at Magnolia Lane and terminating at GA/FLA Railroad Inc. in Colquitt County. The proposed project was subjected to an archaeological survey in July of 2001 by Teresa Lotti (HPD# HP010710-006). Since that time, three intersection improvements have been included in the project description. The locations of the intersection improvements are Park Avenue/Lane Street, Old Quitman Road/Lane Street, and Old Quitman Road/Moultrie Bypass. The existing right-of-way is a variable of 220 to 330 feet. The required right-of-way varies with a maximum of an additional 15 feet. The project's total length is 0.65 mile. An archaeological survey consistent with the proposed project description was conducted along the entire length of the project corridor.
