Abstract

The project is the proposed reconstruction and widening of an 8.5 mile section of US 27/SR 1 from the north terminus of the proposed Cedartown Bypass to Booze Road just south of Rome. The existing bridges over Prentis Creek, Lake Creek and a tributary of Lake Creek would be widened and parallel bridges would be constructed. The existing right- of-way varies between 80 to 100 feet the proposed right-of-way would be 200 feet. An archaeological survey consistent with the project corridor was conducted.
