Abstract

New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of 1.2 miles of proposed improvements to SR 515 in Towns County, Georgia. The study, conducted August 13, 2002, consisted of pedestrian survey designed to discover and record archaeological sites within the project corridor right-of-way. While 18 previously recorded sites are located in the vicinity of the study corridor, no sites were found within the new right-of-way. No further archaeological study of the study corridor is recommended.
