The intersection of SR 3/ Northside Parkway and CS 253/Moores Mill Road is located in north Fulton County and lies entirely in the City of Atlanta. The project consists of operational improvements at this intersection which include installing left turn lanes through symmetrical widening along SR 3/ Northside Parkway, adding a right turn lane on southbound CS 253/Moores Mill Road, and signal upgrades to include adding a left turn phase to the existing signal. These operational improvements will greatly increase the efficiency of the intersection by reducing congestion caused by the left turn movement sharing the through lane with minimal impact to right of way and roadway geometry. There is approximately 100 feet of right of way along SR 3/ Northside Parkway and CS 253/Moores Mill Road.
