Proposed improvements include approximately 4,500 linear feet of 6' wide 4" thick concrete sidewalk on the northwest side of the roadway, pedestrian lights, street trees, handicap ramps, crosswalks, benches, and trash receptacles. Curb and gutter will be added to the edge of the existing drive lane at the locations where there is no existing curb and gutter. The Valley Street speed limit is 25 mph. 2) Proposed landscaping will occur between the new sidewalk and Ball Ground Creek, on both sides of the creek. 3) New sidewalk and pedestrian bridge over Ball Ground Creek, beginning at Old Canton Road and ending at Valley Street. Proposed improvements include approximately 120 linear feet of 6' wide 4" thick concrete sidewalk and a 60' long by 11' wide clear span pedestrian bridge. 4)-Sidewalk on abandoned roadbed, beginning at the new sidewalk connecting Old Canton Road and Valley Street and ending at the Ball Ground Elementary School Entrance Drive, on the opposite side of Ball Ground Creek from Valley Street. Proposed improvements include approximately 1,1 00 linear feet of 6' wide 4" thick concrete sidewalk. 5) Pedestrian rest area/trailhead, located on the northwest and southwest corner of the Valley Street and Beck Street intersection.
