Abstract

Area 1 will construct Phase 4 of the Euchee Creek Trail Corridor from Phase 3 (PI 0009018, currently under design) of the Euchee Creek Trail Corridor. The trail will extend north approximately 0.5 miles to Har1em-Grovetown Road. A 600 foot long asphalt drive connecting to a small parking area will be constructed south of Har1em-Grovetown Road. The project will involve acquiring one ( 1) parcel. The typical section of the proposed project will include an 8 foot path and a 16 foot asphalt access drive.

Area 2 will involve enhancements to the existing northern end of the trail corridor at SR 223/Wrightsboro Rd. A completed bridge replacement project along SR 223 (PI 232306) left an abandoned section of the old SR 223 alignment next to the new SR223 alignment. Part 2 will restripe the old roadway to create a parking area at the existing trailhead. A hammerhead cul-de-sac with guardrail will be constructed at the end of the old roadway to provide a turnaround for vehicles. A decorative entrance sign will be placed at the entrance to the parking area.
