Abstract

The proposed work will take place along a 1.7 mile section of State Route (SR) 38 in Lowndes County beginning on the west side of Forrest Avenue and ending 130 feet east of Blanchard Street with exceptions at the railroads and between 619 feet west and 582 east of the Hollywood Street intersection (MP 11.287 to MP 12.982) (Figure 1). The proposed work consists of milling, patching, resurfacing, striping, raised pavement markers, four-foot earth shoulder filling, and curb cuts to install wheel chair ramps. The project will take place within existing Right-of-Way (ROW), which varies throughout. The limits of construction will be 5 feet from the edge of pavement. Work on all bridges with concrete decks will be limited to restriping only.
