Abstract

The purpose of this project is bridge preservation at the State Route (SR) 247 bridge over Sandy Run Creek (Structure ID 153-0036-0) in the city of Bonaire in Houston County, Georgia. The proposed project will consist of placing rip-rap along the streambed under the bridge for scour protection, co-polymer overlaying the bridge deck, resealing the bridge deck joints, and hand-cutting and removing vegetation from under the bridge. Existing right of way (ROW) varies and is a minimum of 50 feet on either side of the bridge. The project length is 0.023 mile, which is the length of the bridge structure itself.
