The proposed project is to be widening of the existing two lane bridge over the Chattahoochee River on S.R. 1 in Franklin. The existing bridge is 700' long and 331 wide with a roadway width of 241. The bridge has steel and concrete substructure with steel beam superstructure and a concrete deck. The general condition of the structure is from fair to good. The existing bridge will be widened to a width of 441 and remain two lanes.
