Abstract

The proposed project would include resurfacing, shoulder building, leveling, milling, and patching on SR 26 in Pulaski County. The proposed project would begin on SR 26 at a point approximately 0. 14 mile southwest of Upper River Road then continue northeasterly to an end point at the Pulaski/Bleckley County line (generally from MP 9.38 to MP 13.22). All project construction will be restricted to within the existing right-of-way. Pursuant to the February 2000 memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Federal Highway Administration (FHW A), the State Historic Preservation Officer of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (SHPO), and the Georgia Department of Transportation, this project is considered an undertaking as defined in 36 CFR 800. 16(y), however, it has been determined there is no potential to affect historic properties included in or considered eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places.
