Abstract

The proposed project would consist of resurfacing, milling, shoulder building, rumble strips, and striping activities on SR 101 in Paulding and Polk Counties, Georgia. The proposed project on SR 101 would begin at the SR 1 01 /SR 20 intersection in Paulding County then continue northerly through Polk County to an end point at SR 6/US 278. All work will be restricted to within the SR 254 existing right-of-way; no required right-of-way or easements will be needed for project implementation. Pursuant to the September 2007 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Federal Highway Administration (FHW A), the State Historic Preservation Officer of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (SHPO), and the Georgia Department of Transportation, this project is considered an undertaking as defined in 36 CFR 800.16(y), however, it has been determined there is no potential to affect historic properties included in or considered eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places.
