Archeological Assessment of a Dooly/Houston County Bridge Improvement Project. This project proposes to remove and replace the bridge decking, beams and deck joints on the following bridges in I-75 in Dooly and Houston Counties. All work will take place within the existing right-of-way, no new right-of-way will be required. The following locations constitute the proposed project.
l. I-75 over Sandy Mount Creek: the original concrete deck and beams will be replaced along with the deck joints.
2. 1-75 over Norfolk Southern Railroad: the hydrodemolition and removal of the concrete deck to below the top mat of reinforcing and overlay using reinforced concrete and the replacement of the deck joints.
3. 1-75 over SR 7/US 41: the hydrodemolition and removal of the concrete deck to below the top mat of reinforcing and overlay using reinforced concrete and the replacement of the deck joints.
4. 1-75 over Flat Creek: the original deck and beams will be replaced along with the deck joints.
