Abstract

The proposed project would replace the existing bridge on Stale Route (SR) 22 over Little Fishing Creek, west of Milledgeville, Baldwin County, Georgia. The bridge was constructed in 1955 and has an existing bridge typical section consisting of two 12-fooltravellanes, one In each direction, with 6-fool paved shoulders. The preferred alignment for the new bridge would be on existing alignment, with staged construction to allow for an on-site detour. However, the proposed alignment may shift slightly to provide capacity for an on-site detour. The location and distance of the shift have not been determined. The proposed bridge would consist of two 12-foot travel lanes with paved shoulders. The existing right-of-way (ROW) is 150 feet wide; 75 feet on each side of the SR 22 center6ne. At this time the amount of required right-of-way or easement has not been determined. The total project length is approximately 3,035 feet (.57 mile).
