Abstract

The proposed work will take place along a 5.53 mile section of State Route (SR) 26 in Chatham and Effingham Counties from south of CS 446/Wilkes Street to SR 17 (MP 4.494 – MP 5.344)(Figure I). The proposed work consists of milling, patching, resurfacing, striping, raised pavement markers, and curb cuts to install wheel chair ramps. The project will take place within existing Right-of-Way (ROW), which varies throughout. The limits of construction will be 5 feet from the edge of pavement. Work on all bridges with concrete decks will be limited to restriping only.
