Abstract

Georgia DOT project F-285(2) involves the construction of passing lanes on U.S. 129 (S.R. 11) in Lumpkin and Union Counties, Georgia. The project requires that twelve (12) parcels of U.S. Forest Service properties in varying locations be acquired for temporary construction easements. An archaeological survey was conducted for each of these easements on January 23, 1980 by the GDOT Staff Archaeologist.
