Abstract

In compliance with Section I 06 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project CSSTP-M003-00(439), Lumpkin County, Georgia, has been surveyed with respect to archeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The purpose of the survey was to locate, identify, and evaluate the significance of any archeological resources within the proposed project's area of potential environmental effect.

This project consists of the milling, permanent markings, 2' shoulder building, and wheelchair curd cuts and traffic loops on SR 9 Business, from M.P. 0.00 to M.P. 1.183 and from M.P. 0.00 to M.P. 13.44. All work will take place within the existing right-of-way with no new right-of-way required. Total project length is approximately 14.62 miles.
