The proposed reconstruction of the Courtland -Street bridge over CSX Railroad and Decatur Street, begins at Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and ends at Gilmer Street. These limits were set to include the detour routes. Detours will be by way of Gilmer Street, Butler Street, and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. The new spans will be constructed to match the same width as the existing spans. The Decatur Street span would be approximately 75 feet long. The span over the CSX railroad would be long enough to provide minimum horizontal and vertical clearances for the adjusted or added railroad tracks by CSX railroad. No additional right of way would be required.
