Abstract

Archeological Assessment of a Barrow County Resurfacing Project. This proposed project is 9.1 miles long and consists of patching, leveling, resurfacing, and shoulder building on SR 81 beginning at SR 20 and ending at the Barrow County Line. No additional right-of-way is required. Pursuant to the February 2000 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Federal Highway Administration (FHW A), the State Historic Preservation Officer of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (SHPO), and the Georgia Department of Transportation. this project is considered an undertaking as defined in 36 CFR 800.16(y), however, it has been determined there is no potential to affect historic properties included in or considered eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places.
