Abstract

In compliance with Section I 06 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project CSSTP-M003-00(555), Tattnall County, has been surveyed with respect to archeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRJ IP). The purpose of the survey was to locate, identify and evaluate the significance of any archeological resources within the proposed project's area of potential environmental effect. The proposed project consists of the milling, paving, curb and gutter construction and the construction of handicap ramps on SR 73 beginning at its intersection with SR 23 and ending at M.P. 1.152. All work will take place within the existing right-of-way with no new right-of-way required. Total project length is approximately 1.152 miles.
