Abstract

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project BRZLB-055(4), Chattooga has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The purpose of the survey was to locate, identify and evaluate the significance of any archaeological resources within the project corridor. This project proposes to replace on existing alignment the bridge over a tributary of Little Armuchee Creek on C.R. #5. The project is 260 feet long with a R/W of 30 feet. Approximately 25 feet of additional R/W will be required for a portion of the project both east and west of the existing facility.
