Abstract

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project PR-68(301) in Warren County has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The purpose of the survey was to locate, identify and evaluate the significance of any archaeological resources within the proposed project's area of potential environmental effect. Proposed project PR-68(301) in Warren County proposes to grade, drain, base and surface a portion of County Road 68 in Warren County. The existing typical section consists of variable width dirt surfaced roadway with little or no shoulders. The proposed typical section would consist of two 12-foot travel lanes with 5-foot rural shoulders on 80 feet of required right-of-way. The proposed project would begin at the intersection of County Road 67 and County Road 68, and proceed in an easterly direction to end at the intersection of County Road 68 and County Road 166. The total length of this project is 1.030 miles.
