This is a bridge project, BRS-0880(8), located in Habersham County. The bridge is on SR 197 at MP 12.06 N and crosses Soquee River. The existing structure is a 115 feet long by 20 feet wide concrete and steel bridge with concrete bents and caps, steel beams, and a corrugated steel deck. There is no existing ROW. The proposed project would replace the existing bridge with one that is 115 feet long by 40 feet wide and is a concrete and steel bridge. The required ROW is 80 feet with construction easements. An alignment change is required downstream to keep existing road open to traffic.
