Addendum to Phase I Archaeological Survey for the Proposed Construction of a Frontage Road along I – 20 in Warren County, Georgia

Report Number
12386
Year of Publication
2018
Abstract

The proposed project would consist of the construction of a two-lane roadway on new location along the south side of Interstate 20 (1-20) from Country Road (CR) 184/Cadley Road to CR 167/Ridge Road, approximately 2.44 miles in length. The constructed roadway would provide sufficient infrastructure to access large parcels of undeveloped land and serve future development, expected to primarily be commercial and light industrial/distribution facilities, and improve mobility and connectivity in the area (see Figures 1 - 3b). The proposed frontage road typical section would include two 12-foot lanes and 10-foot rural shoulders within a 100-foot existing and required right-of-way (ROW). The required right of way varies from 80 to 160 feet. Easement will be provided past the right of way for construction of slopes. The total required right of way is approximately 30 acres from 11 of 14 different parcels.
