Abstract

Georgia Department of Transportation Project BRZLB-169(2) in Jones County is the proposed replacement of the existing bridge over Glady Creek along Hadaway Road (S.R. 68) northeast of Round Oak (see Project Location Map). Although the proposed structure will be constructed on the existing alignment, approximately 40 feet of additional right-of-way along both sides of the existing roadway is required for project construction. The total length of the project as presently proposed is approximately 1600 feet. The right-of-way required northwest of the existing structure is within the Oconee National Forest. It is this area specifically to which this report is addressed, although the remainder of the required right-of-way is discussed briefly.
