Abstract

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, the following projects were surveyed with respect to archaeological resources; especially those which may be eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). Project BRS-2044(1) is a bridge project located in Houston County.  The proposed project is to be the widening of the existing two-lane bridge over Flat Creek on Limerock Road (County Road 542). The existing bridge is 40' long and 17' wide with a roadway width of 16'. The bridge has concrete substructure with concrete T-Beam superstructure and a concrete deck. The existing bridge will be widened to a width of 30' and will remain two lanes.
