Abstract

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project EDS-441(14), Habersham County has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The purpose of the survey was to locate, identify and evaluate the significance of any archaeological resources within the project corridor. The proposed project would extend on new location the Hollywood Connector in Habersham County. The proposed project would begin at the terminus of the Hollywood Connector project EDS-441(6) at S.R.17 then would extend northerly along new location to a point just north of C.R.225 where the project would tie into existing U.S. 441. The proposed rights-of-way for the project would be 300 feet. A survey consistent with the proposed projects rights-of-way was surveyed for the entire length of the project corridor.
