Abstract

The proposed project would replace the bridge on County Road (CR) 28/Howard Roberts Road (constructed in 1961) over Walnut Creek (also known as Chehaw Creek) west of Gray, Georgia. The existing bridge is a 5-span, 80-foot-long steel stringer bridge. The replacement bridge would be built on existing alignment with traffic utilizing an off-site detour. The total project length, including the new bridge and roadway section, would not exceed 2,400 feet. The existing right-of-way (ROW) width is 80 feet; the need for additional ROW is not anticipated at this time.
