According to Marion Rustin and the FHWA this project is on existing right-of-way and involves the construction of a passing lane .50 miles long. The project is located on Taylor Ridge east of Summerville, Ga. It is on the Summerville to Rome Road. Since it is on existing right-of-way and such steep relief, there should not be any archaeological sites in the project area and there should be no need for an in-field archaeological survey.
