Abstract

On April 16 and 17, 1996, R. S. Webb & Associates conducted an intensive cultural resources survey of the roads/utility corridors within the Phase Ill tract at the 700-acre Silver Creek development site (i.e., the "project area") in Forsyth County, Georgia (Figure 1). Most of the project area is forested by 20 to 30 year-old pine and hardwood growth, suggesting that the study area was logged about 25 to 30 years ago. Contouring throughout the study area suggests that prior to logging, the area was extensively farmed.
